My throat hurts! Help!?!
Question: So this is the 4th time my throat has gotten swollen. The last 3 times I went to urgent care because the first time it lasted for 3 months. They said I didn't have mono or strep and didn't know why my throat was swollen so they just gave me some predisone. That worked and it went away. Well yesterday I felt it getting puffy again!!! I looked in the mirror and its red and on the right side it looks like a dark red bubbly spongy thing is poking out!! What is it? Anyone know what could be wrong? I'm thinking of going to urgent care again. I'm getting so annoyed!

Sounds like an infected tonsil to me, but get in to be seen before the week-end. You need medication. kjl
