Withdrawal symptoms?!

Question: My legs are hurting real bad, and I've been feeling a very tense feeling in my stomach. I've been clean since March 29th, but could these be withdrawal symptoms from oxy or heroin?

If so, could I go to the doctor and get something to help out with the withdrawals? I'm currently in out patient (I was in in patient about a year ago for 2 and a half months, then out patient shortly there after. Now I'm in out patient again for some minor run ins with the law. So I know how the system works.) and I know my case manager wouldn't be too happy with me taking prescription meds, but they would be given to me by my parents and watched very carefully. I'm in severe pain and if I don't get some ******* pain killers I'm going to get some myself. ;)

Haha, no but seriously, this pain is unbearable. And before all you smarties come back and try and say something witty about how maybe I shouldn't of used in the first place, just don't, because you'll be wasting my time AND your time. That is all =)

If the pain you are feeling is coming from the effects of withdrawal then, (even though you don't want to hear this) the last thing you need is prescription pain meds. That is just like a band aid over an open wound that needs stitches...a temporary fix. What you do need is to speak with a Dr. who understands addiction and the symptoms that follow getting off of drugs.
Unfortunately you have built a tolerance up to anything over the counter that may help you. And, no, your case manager isn't going to agree with you having any kind of narcotic whatsoever. This will be hard, but you know what you need to do...work with them. They are trying to help you.
One more thing, have you heard of Serax? If not, it is a medication that is given to patients who are suffering through the symptoms of withdrawal. Get to a Dr. or your Dr., be 100% honest with him/her and they will help you.
Before you think I am being a "smartie" I want you to know that I have went through this with both of my sisters and my mother. Unfortunately, the addiction took my mother's life recently because she wouldn't get the right treatment.
I really wish you the best. Be strong and have faith in yourself.

This is something you really need to be discussing in private with a doctor..

You need to just hang in there. You`ve made it this far! Don't start taking anything else..Please. Take it one day at a time and try to keep yourself busy.Don't find excuses to buy more pills..think positive.

I was under a doctor's care and was given 180mgls of oxy 3 times a day at a pain management center. Life was worth living and all was great until the long hand of the government came in and shut his practice down. My family doc was so scared he wouldn't prescribe me anything. I really thought I was going to die for about a month, so now I just live with cronic pain ........Life ain't easy sweetie and we were never promised a rose garden, so bite the bullit, and keep going to doctors till you find one that you will trust and he will trust that you do have a serious pain problem. Good Luck
