What role does sleep play in weight loss/weight maintenance/ weight gain?!


Question: Short answer: The more you sleep, the slower your metabolism gets. So if you're into sleeping for 11 hours a day (like I used to) you tend to have less energy than if you only slept 7 or 8. Plus you'll have to exert more energy just to get your metabolism up again. Although, if you don't get enough sleep, then your body won't have enough time or resources to heal and repair itself.
