Possible Sprained Wrist?!

Question: okay, so today in math class, my bff and i were goofing off. she twisted my wrist around, and i heard a little pop. i was fine for the other class that day, but by the time i got home, it hurt alot and was a little swollen, but there was very little discouloration. now it hurts to rotate it or bend it up and down. i think its a light sprain, but im not sure. is it enough to bother with a bandage or ice? and also, how long will it be like this? should i bother going to the doctor for a little sprain? thanks,
*kay
ps. phsical activity okay/not okay?

Physical activity is not okay. Just rest it, ice it, try to keep it elevated, and compress it with a bandage. Just to be safe, you should go to the doctor. When you ice it, keep the ice for 20 min and then take it off for a few, then repeat. Hope this helps!

It sounds like a sprain. The best way to treat that is to immobilize it (use tape and or a splint). Apply ice off and on for a couple days (like when watching TV or what have you). After 3 days the pain should have largely subsided.

If it starts to discolor or hurt more you need to see a doctor.
