Non-invasive surgery?!

Question: Back in 2004 my mother had a non Cancerous Swanoma (wrong spelling i am sure) tumor removed from her neck. it took her months to recover from that. About a month ago she took a fall down the deck stairs. The docs gave her some cortinsone shots (again not sure if thats spelled right). Today she found out she in fact has a tear in her rotor cup. when they took the tumor out she was left with a huge scar. I wonder if there is a Non-invasice surgey they can to do repair her tear?!? thanks!

If she has torn the rotator cuff there is only one way to fix it and that is with an incision at the front of the shoulder. It will be about 6 inches long and will no doubt be closed with staples. It will look horrible. I called mine "body by Frankenstein". I took good care of the scar with vitamin E oil and massage to help prevent adhesions. Five years later I have a thin silvery line right where the shoulder/sleeve seam of my shirts is. It is almost invisible and no one notices unless I point it out. The reason the tumor left such a big scar is they had to remove tissue and stretch the remaining skin to cover the empty space. Also neck skin is more fragile than most of the other skin on your body so it scars worse. I expect your mom was just glad it wasn't cancer and the scar just reminds her how lucky she was.

lol just kidding!

Have you heard that three robotic arms were created quite a while ago? They litterly cut open three small hole's in a person and it can do surgery at a smaller location.
This is great because....This does not require the location to be ripped open or anything.

You should google this and find out if it will work for a neck.

I assume you mean a tear in her rotator cuff. This can usually be repaired artheroscopicaly with a minimum incision. Your mother cannot lift her arm over her head and it may feel quite useless. the surgery plus rehabilitation therapy is essential to get her well fast.

Use spell check this way we know what you are talking about

Rotator cuff repair can only be achieved with surgery. Much better to have a scar, than bear that awful pain!
Mederma is an over the counter that helps fade scars. Good luck!
