Try eating proteins for lunch- like meat, fish, cheese -something like that and stay away from things that are starchy or high in simple carbs like white bread, candy, potatoes, or pop. Your blood sugar my be taking a dip by 5th period. Complex carbs and proteins will keep your blood sugar more level and you will not feel as drowsy.

Get your blood sugar tested. some people will doze off if the sugar balance is off.

do you eat right before you go to sleep at night?
that could be it.
you could also have low or unbalanced blood sugar.
try eating a healthy lunch, include fruit.
and try o dodge caffeine so you dont have the "crash" affect.

Firstly do not take any stimulants. Are you getting enough sleep at night. Some teens or preteens need up to 10 hours per night. I am not a morning person and I always start tiring in the afternoon. I always have. I was found to be hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and I would have that checked out by your doctor to rule this out. Your diet, especially empty calories like soda, sweets, etc. will raise your sugar levels but it will fall quickly. Protein is much better and eat small meals each day. You can have some crackers and cheese or peanut butter. Eating a heavy meal will bog you down and make you tired. Do you eat breakfast? If you don't and then eat lunch, you will feel tired. Check with your doctor and see if there are any medical reasons first.
Wake up!! Also before you go to sleep, don't exercise or do anything to stimulate your mind and that means on here too. Read a book, listen to ocean waves, ( I use a sound machine every night to sleep), do whatever relaxes you to induce sleep and get everything off your mind. Some people can get much sleep but if it isn't quality sleep and you toss and turn or do not get your REM sleep (deep sleep) you will always feel tired. Shut down the computer, the radio and turn the TV off if you are doing any of these.
