Does the parafin come off your hands easy?!

Question: I'm think about buying a paraffin machine for my arthritis in my thumb. I'm told they are good for that. Should I buy plastic gloves to put over my hands?

Using gloves would decrease the effectiveness of the paraffin. It peels off so very easily you need not worry about it. It's actually quite neat to see how easily it comes off. And, yes, it is an added benefit for arthritis anywhere in the hand. It's not a magic cure, but it does help many people to some degree.

It's simply wax. I would use warm water to get it off, or if you're in a hurry, use really cold water and flake it off.

A friend of mine has a paraffin machine for her extremely dry skin on her hands, and after the wax hardens it just peels right off, kind of like peeling an orange. You don't need the gloves.
