salt helped to heal my ulcer, blue

have you tried tcp?

leave it alone, it will heal, or gargle with salt water.

If you can take the pain pour salt on it, it will really hurt but the improvement is amazing

keep your mouth clean and gargle with a good mouthwash

rub garlic on it or fresh chile.... on it heard that works

listerine mouthwash is fantastic for mouth ulcers.

If it is really painful, you might try to put some Benzodent on it. this product is for denture pain but it helps with any mouth pain by numbing. it.

yep, definately listerine is the way to go!! just garggle a few times about 3 times a day and you should be sorted in no time

When I was a youngster( many years ago) before all the fancy cures were on sale--my mother would rub Dad's styptic pencil on our ulcers.
That was the little alum stick he used for stopping bleeding when he cut himself shaving!
It always worked.

The most common type of mouth ulcers are called 'apthous' ulcers. They are probably viral. (though no virus has been identified.)This means they should not be given antibiotics as there have no effect. There behaviour is similar to cold sores, in that they are recurrent, come out when we are run down and we never seem to develop immunity. Here the similarity ends, because unlike herpetic cold sores there is no treatment.

Each ulcer lasts about 10 days, but you can get further crops erupting, so each episode may last longer than that.

Ice,ice cream and cold soft items, become the easiest things to eat. Teething gels sometimes help. There are 2 prescription drugs for apthous ulcers, Corlan Pellets and Adcortyl in Orobase paste. Both are steroids, only reduce the nipping a bit and neither hastens resolution.
