I've suffered ear infections all my life and it is always best to let them drain. If the liquid stays inside it irittates the ear more. If it persists, you really should see a doctor if you haven't to see if you need antibiotics. Also, sleeping on it always makes me feel better anyway. :) Hope you feel better!

Yes I would recomend sleeping on a middle ear infection to let it drain. Be carefull though, don't hurt your ear anymore.
You need to have someone put a straw in there and suck the poison out. This would be a goot thme to see just who your friends are. lol
Middle ear is part of ear between eardrum and inner ear containing 3 auditory bones, OSSICLES.
Better ask a ENT docor to syringe the ear.
well if you are putting abt ear drops in you should keep your head to the side for at least 5 min, to let the ear drops go down the canal, then yes i would try to sleep on it, to let the fluid, infection drain out.
If it is draining then sleeping with that ear down may be beneficial. If it's not draining, sleeping with that ear down may just make the pain worse and won't be helpful.
The best treatment for an ear infection is time and Tylenol. If those are ineffective (which only happens rarely) then you may need some type of antibiotic.
