How do I know if my shin bone is broken?!

Question: I smashed my shin with an 8 lb sledge hammer. The skin immediatly swole and blistered and it hurt like crazy to stand on it. However, I was limping back to work within a few minuites. the swelling went down after a few days. It is now been three weeks and I can walk around fine but the slightest touch will drop me. I assume it is not broken because I can walk on it, but, I am more concerned about long term dammage. does anyone have any suggestions?

although ur tibia(the big bone that makes up ur shin) make not be broken.... ur fibula(the tiny bone next to the tibia) may be broken... u could still walk around with a small break in ur fibula... since it is not responsible for massive weight bearing...

since it still hurts badly to touch it i would go and get an xray(should have when it happened) and if it is broken then they may have to rebreak it inorder to set it correctly and not cause permanate damage

go get an xray... just to be sure...

it may just be a bad bone bruise... but u wanna be safe

HAHA pwned go to the ER dummie

go get it xrayed
