MS Contin Withdrawal help with symptoms?!

Question: I ran out of my MS Contin, I just want to know if anyone has any tips for things I can do to help with withdrawals. I have withdrawaled off oxycodone before. But I read about it and the symptoms sounded a little different from what I experienced before. Any tips? Thanks much

It's going to suck..if you can get a prescription for Clondine, it will help a great deal, otherwise use the Xanax with Advil, you can take up to 800 milligrams (4 tablets) every eight hours as needed for the discomfort..take Imodium Advanced for the Stomach/Loose Stools, try to keep hydrated and take a good multi-vitamin, and hang in there..the withdrawal will last for at least three days, but will get better after two..Peace

dang i wish i had some morphine that's stuffs the bomb

all you can do is ride it out the withdrawal it will be over eventually

You should have tapered off slowly before you ran out. If you can, get your doctor to write a prescription for Xanax or Ativan so you can sleep it off. Otherwise you'll get diarrhea, stomach cramps, feel overall lousy. How long have you been on MS Contin and how high was your dose? If it hasn't been over a few months you might not have serious withdrawals just yet, however if you have been on it much longer, well good luck then. Email if you want more answer.

I feel for you I have been there before it is rough I felt like i was going to die If i ever have to go through it again I will make sure Iam in the hospital so they can keep me sedated and do it the right way
Good luck

When you decide to get off permanently suboxone is the ticket. I take it and it alleviated all withdrawl symptoms I was having in 25 minutes. But, once you go on that's it. Your other meds, opiates, won't work because it blocks them at the receptor.

don't worry your not alone. i'm detoxing too. although i'm doing it to win a bet. i'd deal with the symtom one at a time. each one as a seporate unit, and ***** slap your doc into refilling early. dealing with the pain is the most important thing. that and the vomiting. make sure to eat and drink.

sorry about that..............maybe next time u will not overtake ur meds...............if i were u i would go to the ER or just go through it!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW, i've been there before! U have to make urself strong no matter what and not take too many!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
