Sometimes my mouth is gets dry and thirsty but I know I don't need water?!

Question: What is this? I am pretty sure everyone gets this.
Like right now my mouth has been dry like all night and I have been drinking plenty of water.
Is ok to not drink water when this happens because I have to pee constantly when I drink a lot of water.

Reduce salt intake. If you drink pop, drink less pop and more water.

have you been checked for diabetes
and maybe you could switch to juice

You don't say how old you are, but You can get this at any age. Are you a diabetic, because this is one thing that they constantly feel. Are you taking any medications, another side effect of some. Don't use to much salt. It will keep your mouth dry unless you drink a lot with it's use. Don't breathe through your mouth only unless you have a sinus cold and your nose is blocked, the air you are taking in this way, will keep your mouth and throat dry. A lot of things can cause it, you may have to have an opinion from a Doctor if it doesn't go away. Good luck to you, sorry I couldn't tell you exactly what is causing this.

you might want to drink all throughout the day. If you are on any meds. that could be the problem. Of course diabetes could play a part in this. If you intake a lot of salt, it will make you thirsty, but your mouth wouldn't stay dry all of the time, especially if you are drinking a lot. A Dr. could probably help with this issue. Good Luck

I am wonder if you take any medications that can cause mouth to get dry. I use antidepression meds and Diabetic meds that make my mouth dry. Try to have some sugarfree candy ( Hard candy with wrapper like breath saver) that help to moisture your mouth than drinking alot of water.
