Whats the highest hight someones ever fell and lived?!

Question: Excluding going into a coma

Answers: Excluding going into a coma

after going up a certain height it actually does not matter if you go up any higher, you will not hit the ground with any more force.

thats because the force of gravity pulling you down is eventually balanced by the air particles that push up against you while you fall, when this happens you wont be accelerating any more and will fall at a set maximum speed the rest of the way down.

if the distance is 'short' (like 100 feet) there is not enough time for this balance to happen and you would have hit harder had you fallen from say 200 feet

however if the distance is greater than this balance does happen:

so the guy who fell from 22,000 wont hit the ground any harder then the guy from 12,000 feet, it will just take him longer.

12,000 ft is the heighest I have read about...

"Shot from the tiny camera in the helmet of champion skydiver Michael Holmes, it records with chilling clarity what happened when he plummeted 12,000ft to earth. "

Er.... don't try this at home! : )

I read a story of a world war 2 prisoner of war who fell out of a bomber. Here is the link to it (he fell over 22,000 feet and lived!) :

I thought I read a story of another crew member who fell into some trees and snowbank but can't find any info on it. I read that story many years ago when I was a child.

The highest someones ever fell without a parachute is when a aeroplane blew up and a flight attendant was strapped into the back of the plane. It detached from the plane and plummeted to earth. Mutiple injuries but she lived.

I can't remember the name though

i fell 46 feet and just blacked out !!!!!!!!
