Did the doc snip back the bone and stitch the upper and lower skin together? I would say you are OK. Antibiotics and a very mild bleach solution will do the trick. You'll have phantom feeling with the parts that not there. Soon as this is over, you really won't miss the missing part.Thank God it wasn't your thumb. Next time phrase the ? a little clearer. Because some people would report you and you might get a violation. Good luck. I know cause I got one.I found your original ?. I think you need a new doctor. He should have done what I stated earlier.
And your question is...? well, my answer is this: Keep on the antibiotics till they are finished, elevate the hand above your heart as much as possible. Keep the dressing on as directed & keep in close touch with your doctor. Any time there is exposed bone, there is the potential for bone infection & you do not want that.
