I dont know if this will help or not but I use to play indoor soccer. I rolled my ankle pretty bad. I mean to the point I had a black ring around it. Yea, it was pretty sore. So, what I did was start taking 400mg's of vitamin E per day and I wore a lace-up style boot. I was playing indoor soccer again in 2 weeks. The boot will support your ankle and help it to heal faster. The vitamin E helps the body heal by making the tissues softer and more pliable. At least that is what a Dr told me. I was 37 when I did that. The reason I bring that up, is the older you get the slower you heal. So, if your younger than that it will prolly heal faster. Good Luck!!

Can you switch with a packer or checker that doesn't move around as much? Or volunteer for forklift duty?

I understand about paying the bills! sorry this happend to you. Try to switch duties at work, see if you could trade for like two weeks to something lighter, desk, or at least "not lifting".... I am sure they'd try to help you seeing how you're still showing up at work- injured! Good luck to ya!
