What are the effects of long term marijuana use?!

Question: My sister smoked weed for 20 years plus. She can't remember anything you tell her. Seems confused when you are in the middle of trying to talk to her, and she dominates the conversation, interrupting many times. She has migranes now that she doesn't smoke dope anymore. Can this be any coincidence? Is it because of her dope usage?

Sorry......... What was that you said.....?

Yea, it's because of her smoking weed
I think she's dependent...

shes a burnout.

Sounds like she needs to see a doctor. They will prescribe her medical marijuana. Its the good stuff. She'll be sharp as a tack again.

First off, who calls marijuana dope? Second, I'm sure she's done some other drugs as well. But long term marijuana use will cause temporary memory loss. What happens when you smoke is that fat surrounds brain cells. This goes away after a little while but if you keep smoking, the rate at which the fat disappears decreases. So if she stopped smoking for a few months, she'd be back to normal.

No, This is probably due to some other mental health issue. I know several people who have smoked pot their entire life and you wouldnt know it unless they told you.

That is why it is an illegal drug. it is not a coincidence. I have seen it many times.

Smoking dope does kill brain cells. I know many people who have smoked it every day for years, and they have remained the same. Migraines are a difficult thing to diagnosis. It could be from the food she eats, or hormone issues. Medical advice would be the best bet. If she gets over the Migraines, please let me know how she did it!!!!

I was told in drug awareness that it only affects short term memory wile under the influence or in your system. Supposedly no physical addiction that would cause headaches or long term personality flaws.

Have you seen Tommy Chong lately? That is the answer to your Question.

hmm..well i'm pretty sure the memory loss is from her pot smoking but i'm not 100% on the migraines. it could be because it effects people differently when they stop.
