Mosquitoe bite or tick bite?!

Question: I have this reddish purple spot the size of a quarter, its in the shape of a circle on my right forearm. However there is this other reddish purple "trail" that goes from the circle all the way up to the side of my bicep.

The spot is a little itchty but not too irritating. What do you think it is?

It sounds more like a tick bite. Check with a magnifying glass to be sure that the tick is not still there. The "trail" is the natural drainage path for the body to fight off infection or inflammation. Without seeing it I cannot tell you whether that is serious or not. Some people will likely write, "Oh no! You have blood poisoning! Quick! Run to the doctor!" Don't listen to them. You don't need to get hysterical. However, without looking at it, I cannot guarantee that the infection is not getting into your blood stream. Here is a good tip

Take an ink pen and mark the edges of the circle in ink. then mark the top portion of the trial in ink (the portion closest to your shoulder). Recheck your ink marks every 4-8 hours. If the circle is getting bigger or if the trial is getting longer then, yes, you should see a doctor. If you get physically ill (fever, chills, etc.) then yes you should see a doctor. If the tick is still there, then yes you should see a doctor. Otherwise, just let it heal up on its own and only see a doctor if it persists.

Bedbug, maybe?
