I'm sorry to tell you that you are probably looking at a surgical repair using plates and screws to stabilize the fracture if there isn't a lot of healing at this point. I also had a hangman's fracture when I was 17- result of a car accident. I spent the next 3 months in a HALO, before swapping out to a firm brace for another 3-4 months. You should be discussing your options with your orthopedic surgeon about now, but truthfully if you aren't healing at this point, there aren't a lot of other options available.
Get a referral to a good surgeon who is specialist in back surgery! I did and I started feeling like I was human again after a year and a half! Good luck and GOD BLESS1
