sciatica ?
If the pain travels from your buttock your ankle, probably is that!
Osteopath is good, short term, but won't solve the problem in the long run, had it myself, pure agony.
Best bet is you doctor. Combination of Anti-inflammortarys, pain killers, and exercise is really the only answer hun.
Don't waste your money, it IS a long haul to get it better.
Diclofenic is a good drug, I take it for Osteoarthritis, and am pants at taking painkillers, but this is brilliant, doesn't make me feel like a zombie, which the rest did!!
Good luck.

Sounds like sciatica - which will need painkillers - doctors for you!

rubbing firmly sometimes helps

it doesnt if the pain gets unbearable you might have to eithe have an operation or get an epidermal (the thing where they inject strong morphine into ur back) this usually lasts 6 months. have hot baths and use water bottle

I had herniated a disc in my back that sounds similar. Also, you could have a degenerative disc problem that, to me, could only be thoroughly discovered by an MRI. I think you should see a specialist about this. When I had the herniated disc, it took surgery to fix. Good Luck!!

, Go to an Osteopath, little expensive but well worth the money to stop the pain. Check out who ever you go to, only go to ones with a good reputation. I have been going to them for years , medical condition, and I have met some bad ones.
