Can being depressed make you sleep worse?!

Yep. it totally messes with your sleep cycle. It can either make you sleep ALL the time, or not sleep at all.

absolutely. i go through it all the time.

Try a warm glass of milk (semi-skimmed of course) or some spaghetti

I can either make you sleep less or sleep too much. You should see a counselor. They help. =)

yes it does happens to me also when im stressed try looking up relaxing techniques on the internet a nice cup of horlicks no tv or reading also temse every part of your body from your toes upwards bit by bit this works really well for me. the main thing though go to docs to find out why your depressed.

yes defiantly , take a day off to rest what ever you do STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM SLEEPING PILLS i know this because my sister is a physiologist

It depends on the type of person you are cause it can make u sleep more and it could keep u up.

Both and Vicea versa. Lack of sleep can lead to depression. Check for the posibility that you have a sleep disorder called Apnea. Its an obstruction in your throat when the soft palate relaxes during sleep to the point of blocking the air. Preceeded by SNOREING. This causes you awaken sometimes fully, but ususally so breifly you dont notice. What happens though is that with each breath coming every 5 seconds or so this "awakening" could be happening every two or three minutes ALL night long. This prohibits REM sleep complteley because you never go that deep. Your always in level 1 or 2 sleep NEVER any REM. REM sleeep is when your brain "adjusts" its self and ratioanalizes and resolves issues from the day and de-stresses you, with a pleasant dream. You dont get that relief. Your missing out on it, and your body reacts by depressing your energy levels to match the ammount of sleep you got. So it prevents you from being enegetic. You didnt sleep enough (re-charge) to gain the ammount of enegy it takes to be vivacious. Your mind lacks the opportunity for the restfulness necessary to cope with issues at your subconsoious level. If Depression doesnt run in your family, its probably a sleep problem. Good luck with it
