Arm still hurts after a blood test a month ago?!

Question: Hi,

I had a blood test about a month ago for anemia. There was nothing wrong with me, but my arm is still sore. If I stretch it out it really aches, and if someone knocks it it'll hurt for a little bit. I have exczma (sp?) in the same place as where the blood test was, and whenever I itch it it now really hurts.

Is this normal?

well it could be either of the two:
1. you have a blood clott
2. you are like me and are truly in pain forever after a needle is stuck in you. but do not have a blood clott

yes it can be normal. i get pain from any kind of pokes or anything for months and months on end. i got a lumbar puncture and for 7 months after that i had pain.

i have diseases that cause this to happen but for healthy normal people it can happen too. don't worry

It's probably not something to worry about, however...
watch for a bump and/or red line, going up.

It happened to me w/a minor surgery. Its called phlebitis.
be careful..
good luck
