Urinary tract and kidney infection?!

Question: Urinary tract and kidney infection!?
I went to the doctor today after having some burning sensations with urinating, cloudy urine, lower abdominal pain, bilateral pain in my back, and a little nausea!. I had bacteria in my urine sample, too!. I was diagnosed with bladder and kidney infection, so I was given 10 days of antibiotic and Azo to help with the burning!.

What else can I do to make myself feel better!? What should/shouldn't I be drinking!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
cranberry juice will help to prevent them, but won't actually help once you have one (and could burn worse)!. Drink lots of water and take 2 extra strength tylenol every 4 hours as needed!. It might not help the pain, but it might!. 3 days worth of antibiotics should stop the pain, but make sure to take the entire dose!. Don't drink anything alcoholic, as this can cause the antibiotics to stop working, and avoid sex if possible until you are off the antibiotics!. I get frequent UTI's, and these are the tricks I use!. Also taking baths frequently (but only for a few minutes at a time) can help!.!.!. make sure not to put bubbles in the tub, though, because that can cause a UTI!. Just remember that the antibiotics will kick in soon and you'll feel ten times better!.

To try and prevent UTI's, drink lots of water and cranberry juice, don't hold your urine in, make sure to empty your bladder each time you go, wear cotton underwear and avoid thongs!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

For some reason females seem to be susceptible to chronic urinary infections!.

My sister is one of them She has a chronic infection which dies down, then months or years later pops back up!. She was given a drug by one urologiost that seemed to work when none others did!.

Some time later, at another time and place the infection recurred and she went to see a urologist and asked him for a prescription for that medication!. He lost it!. Asked her who she thought she was ordering her own prescriptions!. I don't remember how it turned out, but she didn't see him again!.

I had a urinary infection that would not quit!. The family doctor put me on an antibiotic of some sort which did no good whatsoever!. He sent me to a urologist who placed me on Gantrisin ( a sulfa drug) for two weeks!. The infestion went away, but was back in a couple of weeks!. I persuaded the doctor to keep me on Gantricin for three months to kill every last trace of the infection!. It worked, years ago and never came back!.

The solution to your problem--------!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
