Question: Does anyone know any good sleep solutions!?
My job leaves me getting home at late hours and I am unable to fall asleep until 5am!.!. this is really runing my sleep schedule as well as my gym schedule!. Best solution gets the 10 points when i wake up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to your Dr!. about a sleep aid like Ambien!. Try drinking a glass of milk and doing some tai chi or meditation for 1/2 hour before you go to bed then take a warm, not hot, shower,Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your system will tolerate it and your not allergic to it one little Benadryl 30 to 45 mins!. before bed should do the trick and it can be a generic brand and not the brand name!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lay down in bed and read a book!. I find that even if a book is interesting, I will get sleepy reading!. Or, if that doesn't work, try drinking a glass of warm milk!. That helps!. Or!.!.!.drink a glass of cold water while taking a hot bath!. (When you bathe in hot water and drink a cold beverage at the same time, it makes you sleepy--I read it in an article once and it's true!)
Or!.!.!.lay down in bed with the lights off even if you're not tired and listen to some soothing classical or new-age music!.
Also, make sure that your room is totally dark & quiet, any lights coming in your window or under your bedroom door or sounds from outside or another room make it harder to fall asleep!.

NyQuill will knock you out HARD and you may not wake up for 9-11 hours, so this is not the one you want to choose if you have work the next day!.

I have had similar situations with not getting any sleep because I was stressed and had a lot going on and a million other reasons!.

Look into Trazodone!. 1 half tablet 1 hour before you go to bed should get you 8 hours of sleep and leave you rested!. If you are still having trouble going to sleep up it to 1 tablet!.
I am currently prescribed a bottle of 700mg tablets!.

Oh another thing!. It doesn't matter what you're used to going to bed with, music, tv, radio!.!.!. make sure you turn OFF the lights and the noises before going to sleep!. These things are called stimulators and they can keep you up all night!.
Things like having a fan on when you go to bed I find very relaxing and help you sleep!.

Also milk and turkey have natural sleep aids in them!. If you make yourself a small tastey meal about 15 minutes before bed it should help you sleep, but eating before bed also helps you gain weight so don't stuff yourself unless you intend to gain 1 or 2 pounds!. ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most of the time the reason you can't fall right asleep is because your mind is racing about all the things that went on that day!.

I find that the best way to fall asleep is to find what puts your mind to rest!. Depending on the type of mind you have, try to occupy it so that it stops thinking about everything else!. Soon enough you will be sleeping and not even notice!. I create 3-D images in my mind and try to move them around!. Other people have told me that they just concentrate on every muscle in there body individually and just try to relax them until they are sleeping!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
