When a ligament is torn, is there instant pain?!

Question: When a ligament is torn, is there instant pain!?
I was on a rowing machine at the gym and couldn't reach the handlebar, while I was leaning or reaching forward, the person rowing on my left gave me a sudden hard push forward on the middle left of my back without warning and I felt two crackles to the left of my lower back in the hip area, but no pain at the time!. If those crackles were ligaments tearing or snapping in my hip, would I have felt instant pain!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hard to say!. I have torn ligaments in both my knee and my ankle and I felt instant pain (and heard a tearing sound)!. You may want to get it checked out just to be on the safe side!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not an expert on this but usually when you tear a ligament, yes you do feel pain, whether instant or a bit delayed!. If you stretch a ligament a little bit too much, usually the pain comes later- you'll feel sore or it'll hurt when you touch it!. Or at least that's been my experience!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
