Answers:
You have a boxer's fracture!. And it's almost always the ring and little fingers (4th and 5th digits) because those metacarpal or knuckle bones are not as firmly stabilized as the index and middle fingers!.

Now to your question!. A cast on the hand will prevent further pain and damage!. It will also help to maintain the bones in a normal or near normal line!. Otherwise, you might end up with a hand that will not function optimally!. And if the bones are very angulated, the orthopedic surgeon might even have to place metal pins in them to straighten them!. So I would definitely go to the ER and get it X-Rayed and treated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

apply ice pack then immobilise by strapping up, elevate when sitting and take painkillers (paracetamol and antiinflammatories)!.

Then find a book on anger management and read up on alternative ways to handle things!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
