What exactly does it mean to have a Stent put in your leg due to bad circulation!

Question: What exactly does it mean to have a Stent put in your leg due to bad circulation!?
And is the opertion dangerous and painful!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A stent is put in to hold the artery open to allow more blood flow!. Eventually new tissue grows over the stent and it is able to keep the artery open!.

Any operation has a level of danger to it, however I honestly don't believe that it is hugely dangerous!. The doctor placing the stent can give more detailed information on risks involved!.

I would expect there would be some pain as it is surgery, however I don't believe that it would be excruciating!. In fact compared to most surgeries, I believe there will be less pain as it is generally a small incision and done with a scope!.

I hope that helps!
