I know about it!. I've been on SSD for 7 years!. If your Mom is only getting $200 a month she must not be getting social security disability for a total disability!. There is no way that if she only gets $200 a month that she doesn't qualify for SSI!. The least I have ever heard of someone getting for SSD is around $560 a month!.

And if she is getting SSD and you are a minor you also would be getting a check every month!. I'm not sure but I know it is more that $550 a month because I have 3 children that get it every month!. And in California the minimum is around $860 or so including SSI!. When my mom was alive she collected SSD (social security disability), and SSI and right around $850-$900 a month is what I remember her receiving up until 2005!.

SSI is NOT disability!. It is a low income program!. That's why it is called supplemental security income!. I am totally disabled and I don't get SSI!. I get too much in regular SSD!. It, (SSI) is administered by each state and the amounts vary by state!. Someone in Florida may only get $40 in SSI when the same person, with the same income may get $360 a month in California!. SSI all depends on where you live and what your income is!.!. A lot of people get SSI and SSD confused but they are completely different!. Go to this site!. It will answer every question you have and may give you some ideas on how to apply for programs your Mom may qualify for!.
http://ssa!.gov!.

If your Mom has a specific question about disablilty I would be happy to see if I know of something that may help!. Just e-mail me!. Good luck and I hope you can find some help so you don't have to live at a poverty level!. It's a shame that people that have worked hard and have become disabled have to live like that!. If you put the effort into it you should be able to find several sources of assistance in your area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know it sucks to have health problems and disability , barely pays enough to survive , and everything is getting expensive,
I know you are allowed to work every now and then too get more money , I think they allow you to make 400 dollars extra a month
and after that they take away 50 percent!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
