Question: Can I take Ibuprofen for musle pain from over-excersising!?
Yesterday i went to an "earthday" even and we parked far far away, now I usually work out so I had no trouble in walking 2-3 miles to the event but my 37lbs son was crying and drowsy so I carried him up there (it was uphill) he's only 3!. Today my hips and arms hurt SOO BAAAD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are describing symptoms consistent with DOMS or delayed onset of muscle soreness!. Ibuprofen has been demonstrated to be effective when taken before or after exercise but it seems to help even more if taken prior to exercise!. It's too late for that now, but this could come in handy next time!. Other effective treatments are gentle stretching, rest, and ice!. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of ibuprofen or other NSAIDS or if you have an ulcer or problem with bleeding/coagulation, talk to your doctor before using ibuprofen!. In any case, good luck and right on for participating in earth day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you can!. Ibuprofen is an antiinflammatory, and helps the muscles relax!. However, I have found that Tylenol works better on muscle pain!. For me, at least, ibuprofen is better for headaches, and Tylenol is better for muscle aches!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thats eactly what you should take!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
