For those who have successfully quit smoking,how did you do it?!


Question: For those who have successfully quit smoking,how did you do it!?
My neighbor is struggling--he is nearly 60 years of age and has smoked 2 packs a day for 40 years!!
He has tried the patch,hipnotism,etc!.!.!.all to no avail!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cold turkey!. It's really the only way!. The other ways just tease you!.
Even a heavy smoker at 60 can stop and have many benefits from being smoke free!.
It will be hard but that doesn't mean impossible!. Losing a lung is harder!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with the others!.!.cold turkey!. I used to smoke 3 packs a day for over 20 years and I quit 20 years ago!. I had a very bad chest pain, said to myself that I never wanted to feel that again (I was smoking when I felt the pain) and stopped cold and never had another one!. Very difficult the first week to ten days, less so after that!. So glad I quit!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had to use multiple things at once to quit!. I got hyptnotised to kick it off, and took Chantix and Wellbutrin at the same time, I used an online support group, mint toothpicks, sugar free gum, exercise, and non-nicotine e-cigarette (try www!.njoy!.com) It was still the hardest thing I've ever done!.!.!. my suggestion for people serious about quitting is not to put all your eggs in one basket but to try all sorts of stuff at once!. Also, go nicotine free from day one!. The patch and gum just keep you physically addicted and prolong your suffering!. Nicotine leaves the body in 3 days, ending the physical addiction!.!.!. anyways the cigarette companies make money off that crap too so that should tell you something!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
