It can be pretty painful! try drinking cranberry juice and water to get rid of it!. If your in mild pain take over the counter AZO pills ( which will turn your urine bright orange!) but it works to relieve some pain, if your in a lot of pain or if this occurs a lot call your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just be careful!. You usually need anti-biotics to get rid of one!. A couple of years ago I thought I had one and it turned into a kidney infection and put me in the hospital for a few days!. You might need to see the doctor!.
Good Luck!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For starters it problaly never really went away the first time!. Your symptoms did but not the actuall infection!. You most likely need some antibiotics or you will be going through this constantly!. To help the symptoms drink lots of cranberry juice and water!. But I would see your doctor just so it doesnt tunr into a kidney infection which hurts a lot worse than a UTI!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A few methods you can try to help and clear up a UTI quickly are -
Drink plenty of cranberry juice (%100 pure), also blueberry juice has been shown to have a similar effect on UTI's!.

Drink lots of fluids, especially plain water and stay well hydrated at all times!.

Change your diet to focus on consuming more acidic foods

Avoid the following which can make your symptoms worse -

caffeinated foods, beverages, and medications (colas, coffee, teas, diet pills)
Chocolate
alcoholic beverages
Cigarettes

Do not takes baths or soak in water instead take short showers in mildly warm water!.

Finally and most importantly - do not wait too long before seeing your doctor! There are several types of bacteria that can cause a UTI and not all of them are so easy to get rid of!. The bacteria may not be the same as that which caused the first infection OR it could be symptoms of something much more invasive!.
Below is a link to a very informative article that I found helpful after dealing with symptoms of a UTI for nearly fours months! - I too refused to go in because I thought I could treat myself and it would just go away!. Didn't happen, and when I finally did visit my doctor it had begun to spread into my kidneys, which is MUCH more serious and takes longer to treat!. So, don't wait too long before seeking medical advice! :)

yours don't sound so bad, but I HAD CHRONIC UTIS AND KEPT TAKING ANTIBIOTICS - LIKE MANY WOMEN I LATER FOUND OUT!.
THIS IS WHAT I DID TO MAKE IT STOP:

PEE AFTER SEX

TAKE CRANBERRY IN THE FORM CALLED D-MANNOSE!. you can get it at healthfood stores or online!.

DRINK A LOT OF WATER, PEE OFTEN!.

NO SUGAR, CAFFEINE, SPICY FOODS!.

also I ADVISE VINEGAR DOUCHING!.
Douching is always controversial!.compared to antibiotics and doctors visits, its nothing!. it worked for me!. a douche (putting liquid into vagina with douche bag from drugstore or anything that works) of
ONE PART WHITE VINEGAR (1/4 cup)
THREE PARTS WATER (3/4 cup)
repeat Douching once or twice a day!. especially after sex

PREFERABLY USE CONDOMS

IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT, TAKE PROBIOTICS for the immune system to get stronger and heal!. NATURE'S GARDEN IS A GREAT BRAND!. online prices are half as much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
