Hand Injury question.....?!

Question: Hand Injury question!.!.!.!.!.!?
I slammed my on a table and didn't realize there was a thumb tack on the table!. It went right into the palm of my hand, about a 1/2 inch above the wrist!. It is sore at the puncture site obviously, but what worries me is that the area right below my middle finger is sore, which is pretty much a direct line from the injury!. Should I be concerned!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
hmmm!. you may have reason to be concerned!. If the pin has damaged any ligaments or nerves or tendons leading from the wrist to the finger then yes, there is reason to be concerned!. The way you describe the point of soreness being inline with the puncture site also suggests this may have happened!. It could be nothing, just the impact of you hitting your hand on the table!. It could have ended up worse (broken wrist, hand, smashing the bones in your hand etc) but you need to see a doctor if possible!. It is important that if there are any problems then you find them and treat them now, not in a years time when it really gives you grief!.

i hope this has been helpful, make sure you keep the puncture site clean and rest your hand, good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could have punctured a nerve!.
I would go to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
