I suffer from chronic pain!. This all started from a MVA on 11/3/07!.!. before the accident I was in no pain, just the normal back pain that we all have from time to time ( i was a waitress for 13yrs!.) Once I was hit from behind, which was not that hard, I was in instant pain in my lower bk!. and since then I have has immense pain!. My MRI showed a bulging disc, nothing too severe, and pain in my right buttock radiating down my rt!. leg, however, then about mid Feb!. the pain started to move to my shoulders and the burning started too!. I am now in chronic pain from head to toe and the pain is unbareable! This has taken over my life, and I cannot do anything without severe pain!. However, my EMG came back neg!. and my X-Rays have shown slight scoliosis and arthritis in lwr!. back!. My dr!. refused to continue me on pain killers(percocet) and cut me off cold turkey after 6 months on them!. I understand the concern for addiction, however, there are the people that don't abuse themWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry to hear that your pain has gotten worse!. If it were me, I'd approach this from a couple of directions!.

First, I'd get a new family doctor!. One that tries to solve the problem or give a referral to a specialist that will!.

Second, see the doctor (whatever kind of doctor it is) and get a diagnoses!. If nobody knows what the problem is, and that happens occasionally, then you've given it a good try!.

Third, get a referral to a pain management specialist, especially since your GP doesn't want to prescribe narcotics!. There are many, many pain meds that can be taken by themselves or in combination!. Your pain doc will work with you to find the right treatment!. Of course, you have to follow instructions and keeping information on how you're responding to your meds is a great idea!. Communication is very important in your relationship with your pain doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be-

but FMS is more than just pain

you have to have your known conditions throughly understood-if they do not account for your pain-then get screened for FMS-

FMS includes many symptoms such as pain, stiffness, fatigue, numbness, cognitive and memory problems, tender points

do not allow a doctor to jsut label you with FMS because they don't have a better explainantion-

it is a real disease-not just a garbage can diagnosis for teh unexplainedWww@Answer-Health@Com

Damn girl, you sound like your hurting!.
I too have chronic pain but its from refractory RLS and knee injuries!.
My GP wants nothing to do with the management of my RLS since opioids are the treatment so my psychiatrist is my prescribing doctor!.
When you are in pain you are depressed, unmotivated and miserable!.
Low dose opioids can help bring some quality back to your life!.
Especially for that little girl of yours!.
As a CVT (veterinary nurse) when it comes to animals in pain we treat them with opioids or an NSAID but we don't stop there!.
We add in glucosamine, chrondrotin,MSM and omega fatty acids to help worsening of the condition!.
These supplements make an obvious difference in animals!.
MSM and omega fatty acids are natural anti inflammatories that don't have the typical side effects that NSAIDS do!.
Glucosamine and chrondrotin lubricate joints and make a world of difference!.
That is why I take these supplements myself!.
The human version that is!.
Im not blowing smoke they help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no doubt that there are many frustrating and life altering aspects of living life with fibromyalgia!. However one of the worst has to be the almost constant pain the sufferer is forced to endure!. While there is still a lot the doctors, researchers, and other medical experts still don
