Question: X-Ray on my knees, is it dangerous!?
I was given a referral by a physician to have an x-ray done on my knees!. I think it is just a strain, but I wanted to know, is it dangerous!? Could i get cancer from it!? It is near the groin area, could it effect my genitals!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No the films are not at all dangerous!. And they do not pass through your groin area!. Even if they did it would not matter!. Not enough rads to matter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually they cover up most of your body with a lead blanket, if they don't offer one, ask for one!. They do have them!. If you'll notice most of them put on the little lead apron!. Even dentist will do this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Not at all!. But why just an x-ray, why not an MRI!. If something shows on a normal x-ray, you'll end up getting an MRI, so why not the MRI to start with!. Your genitals are to far from the knees anyhow!. How do you think they would check the genitals if something is wrong there!. X-rays!. No worries D!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
