Any impact to the head can be by definition considered a concussion!. Symptoms can include (in a list of increasing severity) but not necessarily always, headache, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, loss of short-term memory, or repeating the same thins over and over!.

What is a good reason for contacting just your regular doctor is the nausea!. It's a sign that something might be wrong But I believe you can take medication to soothe the pain, and it would also be best to put ice on your head, not a heating pad!. It might just pass, but you should tell people to watch out for changes in your behavior to make sure you arent getting worse!. But the only real way to get better is to let it heal on its own unless you have severe head trauma as decided by a doctor!.

And again it is always best to contact a doctor, not necessarily the ER, as they have a series of test to figure out if your brain is functioning properly such as being able to memorize and repeat lists and being able to walk in a straight line and touch your nose, much like one of those tests they use for drunk people!.

But to answer your question in general, yes I believe you can take medications as long as you pay attention to wether or not the symptoms begin to go away or get worse!. and I'm definitely no expert but you should definitely contact a doctor for more information!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the ER immediately! You could have a concussion or whiplash, both which can cause serious damage if not treated! And do not drive yourself, get someone to take you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You really need to go to the emergency room!. You could have a concussion or worse!.!.!.!.do not take advil!.!.!.!.if you have a bleed in your brain it could make it worse!. Have someone take you in right now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

why should it be your trying to make your self feel better not worse lol!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to go to the hospital and get checked out!. I was an ICU nurse and you could be seriously hurt!. Call an ambulance and don't eat or drink anything else!. You could pass and choke to death!. Don't hesitate to do this!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't be so concerned about a headache but when it is accompanied by nausea especially after an accident!.!.!.!.you really should see a Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i would wait a day on taking any drugs just to make sure youre okay (it'll be hard making it through but you can do it!) then feel free to drug up! just watch out for tylonal or any other asprin containing drugs as they can make you much sicker with stomach ulsers, nausia ect!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call your Dr's office!. talk to a nurse there if you cant speak with a dr!. tell them what happened and your symptoms and if you can take anything!. the fact that you feel sick isnt good (tho that could just be from the headache)!. but you probably do have whiplash, and if you do, tomorrow you're going to feel worse (usually day 2 and 3 suck the most)!. i doubt you have a concussion, you'd probably feel really woosey if you did!. but you should at least talk to someone to make sure you arent having any weird symptoms!. i was in a car accident and just went to my regular dr the next day to make sure there wasnt anything serious!. i had whiplash!. thats all!. just told me to take tylenol or ibproffin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
