I am so tired but I can't sleep. Does this happen to anyone?!

yep!. i can be so tired my eyes hurt and cant sleep!. Its from anxiety!. When I was told this i took it as meaning i was worried or concerned- but i wasnt- about anything-the dr told me its anxiety in the form of my minds always racing from one unimporant thought to the next!. And it was true im so high strung that i didnt even realize it!. But bottom line go see a docter for lorazepam!. Not a sleep aid!. I was given a rx few weeks back for ambien after my surgery-incase i couldnt sleep since i had to stop taking lorazepam/ativan for the surgery!. And it sealed the deal!. I ate ambien like candy and at the max slept for 20mins, just like with every over the counter sleep aid i have so hopefully tried!. Its anxiety, And has to be treated as such!. Or else no matter what you put in your body to sleep-your anxiety will snap your body out of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. I've dealt with this for most of my life and nothing really works except for physically exhausting myself through some kind of exercise or hard physical labor, while also feeling as though I've "spent" my day well, and stimulated my mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes it's harder to sleep when you are really tired because you tense your muscles up, and you can't sleep when you are tense!. Get comfortable in bed and start to tighten your muscles starting at your feet and going up to your head in order, and then take ten deep breaths and roll onto your side, get comfortable again, and close your eyes!. You should be asleep in ten minutes or less!. I know !.!.!. I have chronic insomnia due to severe PTSD, and this works for me, so it should help you to go to sleep, too!. If you don't fall asleep, take a Benadryl or diphenhydramine hydrochloride (the generic of Benadryl) !.!.!. it may take up to an hour, but if you can stay relaxed, you will go to sleep and sleep the whole night!. There is not any 'hangover' to taking Benadryl, which is a common antihistamine, because it lasts in the body only 4-6 hours, but you WILL sleep the full eight hours!. And you'll wake up FINE because of the relaxation you did before you took the pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ya, me for a least 40 years now I have tinitis(ringing in the ears constantly) I only get to sleep by exhaustion!. Maybe 4 hours a day average!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
