why is it that in this day and age everybody is obsessed with drugs, weather it be prescription or illegal!. for example if someone has a sore head, back or stomach the pop a pill to help take the pain away or if someone wants to forget the troubles of life they snort some cocaine!. in the olden days they didnt take paracetomal for sore heads they just let them pass why dont we!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because our culture has brainwashed us into thinking drugs are the answer!. Doctors like to force medications down our throats, pharmaceutical companies desensitize us with their endless commercials, etc!. Although in the olden days you could just go buy opium off the shelf at the store or cocaine in a soda!. All in all, prescription drugs are marketed to us so the health care industry can make more money!. People believe they can fix all of their problems with a pill!. As for illegal drugs, I would say that they are more readily available!. People try to medicate themselves because the world really isn't that happy of a place!. Kids become so desensitized to drugs through television shows, movies, and music that they don't really consider them a big deal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think people have begun to use medicine as an excuse to cure all there problems!. I understand our life span has grown dramatically over the years but I honestly don't think half the things doctors suggest are really for our health!. because we are a very spoiled generation!. Theres no use in telling someone to handle the pain when they can take a pill for it!.!.!.but taking drugs is something else!.!.it starts with fun, and then people use it to forget their pains if they even have real ones!. No, in the 19th century they could legally buy laudanum (an opium drug) cocaine (coke and pepsi used to contain it) plus marijuana!. Laudanum was given to babies for teething and cause many infant mortalities!.

how far back are ya going!?!? If your going back to caveman days,well,they did'nt have the stuff we have today!.We dont have to suffer!. Why would'nt you want to take an aspirin if you have a headache,or backache!?!?As far as the cocaine goes,all people had to do back in them days is buy a dagone coke!.I wished I did live back in those days!.
