Question: Is it okay to clean a wound with toilet paper!?
Okay, I'm with my boyfriend and he has a cut so I"m trying to clean it for him and take care of him and stuff!.!. So I tell him I'm going to get some toilet paper to clean off the blood, they he says no! Don't use toilet paper! Use a shirt or something!.!. He tells me it's not good because it's recycled paper and that it's dirty!.!. I don't know!.!. he said it was not healthy!.!. Is he right!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know but I won't dare to use it for my wound!.!.!. except If there's no other choices left!. Maybe It's clean but can't help but feel that It's dirty and has lots of germs and bacteria!. Maybe it's because It is in toilets and toilets are dirty, dirty things will have bacteria and our wounds may get infected!.!.!.

toilet paper might flake off on the wound!.!.!.!.!.use something like gauze!.!.!.!.!.something that won!.t dissolve into the wound and is cleanWww@Answer-Health@Com
TP is better than a shirt if you don't have anything else!. A lot of bacteria could be in the fabric!. Though TP flakes so it's not that great either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i dont know if its recycled or not over there but as long it has good quality and it hasnt falled on the floor and get dirty is ok!.ive used it alot and im okWww@Answer-Health@Com

The toilet paper is safe, its also a better absorbent then a band-aid and can cover more of the wound easily!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Toilet papers have fabric and when when you use it to clean wounds, the fabrics sometimes stick to the blood, so it's not good!
So for me i must prefer cleaning wounds with cotton and with betadine on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
