I dont know how to sleep right, causing bad shoulder pain.?!

Question: I dont know how to sleep right, causing bad shoulder pain!.!?
I use to be fine with my old 10 year old bed until my husband complained about needing a new bed for his back!. I honestly thought a bed is a place to sleep and you didnt need them real exspensive ones in them bed places, and people who complained about pain from their bed were not doing enough stretching and mucsle strengthening at the gym!.
Well that kind of backfired on me because now my shoulder is really sore from the new bed (2-3 months old)!. I know I sleep on the worse side ever, my stomach- though I seem to lean more on one side of the shoulder which is the sore one!.
And i really dont want to sleep on the back as I think I will snore cos of my sinuses will all block up!. Any ideas!?

Another interesting question do we all sleep on the sides our mothers use to lay as down as babies, because thats how we were taught!? My 2 brothers and sister do, so I find that interesting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had this same problem!. I had a reoccurring shoulder pain, but for me it took forever to realize that it was the way I was sleeping!.

I was sleeping basically on my side, but my shoulder was folding under me as I slept!. I never woke up sore, but as the day went one I began to get shoulder pain!.

If it is the position you are sleeping in, you will just have to get used to a different position!. That is exactly what I had to do!. I still occasionally catch myself starting to rest in a bad position, but when I do I just change!. It might help to adjust your pillows to help!.

If your bed is too soft for you, you can slip a piece of board under your side of the mattress!. If it is too hard, perhaps a piece of eggcrate on your side will help!.

I have never heard your theory about sleeping positions before!. I doubt that it would work as a general rule!. Most people change as their circumstances change whether its a new bedroom or a new bedroom partner!. And most people change positions frequently during the night!. I know that personally over the years I have changed from a back sleeper to a stomach sleeper to each side and back again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
