Answers:
Warm milk, valerian and 5-HTP and other remedies that you can find in a web search for "natural sleep remedies" are all supposed to help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

leave the pills alone for a night and get a bottle of wine curl up in bed with a good book and you will relax enough to get some sleep, don't try on a night you have to go to work if you are not a drinker!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The meds aren't working, alcohol will make it worse anyway so glad you can't drink it, and you mentioned antidepressants!. I'm not sure if you are still on them, though I am thinking you implied that in the additional details!. I had a hell of a time going to sleep, staying asleep, and feeling rested with what sleep I did get when I was on antidepressants!. I'm not going to guarantee that is the problem, it might be worth checking into!. Dr's don't know everything, so don't take everything they say like its gospel!. I hope that you get this resolved and start resting soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to be really bad when it came to getting to sleep, I learned a few tricks along the way!. Do some exercise a couple of hours before you go to sleep, then eat and take a hot shower right before you go to bed, that should work but you have to take the "noise factor" into account, it could be other people waking you up with thier actions banging around and stuff!. People generally don't stop no matter how many times you tell them so what I usually do for that is turn the radio onto a blank channel, the gentle whoosh sounds a bit like rain and drowns out every other b*stard in the house!. I add a pair of ear-plugs for good measure and I'm away!. Just make sure all of your needs are fully met, try not to be thirsty, hungry, hot, cold, or uncomfortable in ANY way when you're trying to sleep!. Also try to imagine a pleasant "what if" situation happening in your head it usually helps getting the dream process going!. If you still can't get to sleep then it could be the result of anxiety, probably due to the job, in which case change a few of your shifts at work to fit your sleeping patterns!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
