Question: Healing of a Fractured Humerus!?
I am a 26 year old who fractured my humerus 7 weeks ago in the middle between the elbow and shoulder!. I am starting to do some simple stretches to straighten my arm but when it gets close to being fully extended I get a tingling sensation in my hand, is that normal!?
Also, how much time should I plan that physical therapy should take till i have good mobility back in my arm!? Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Numbness at anytime isn't normal, so, I would mention it to the Dr!. There may be a pinched nerve that may require attention, and if it continues treatment to resolve!.!. Something that may help- A soft elbo pad - it adds a little pressure to your arm and the pad helps prevent banging it!.-- The way you did this, could might actually from a Medical supply store When I had problems, I was referred back to a neurologist and found I have a pinched radial nerve and cervical problems!.
however, When you don't move it for a while there is a tendency towards numbness!.
Something you may prefer- Pool Therapy, this will help you to relax in the water and promote healing ,it feels so great
Talk to your Dr/ therapist and see what they say!.!.
I would say you have a while to go- You are probably not allowed to lift with it yet, I have a friend that did the same thing and it took 6 months
