Knee problems.?!

Question: Knee problems!.!?
Im a 15 year old girl, who has played the sport 'Netball' for about 7 years!. During the years i played netball, my knee caps would always pop out then back in and get sore, particually my left one, just under my knee cap!. It would feel better in about a week!. But early May 2007, my left knee cap slipped out again, but this time, the pain didnt get better!. My mum took me to get scans and xrays, but nothing showed up on them!. Seeing as i was in constant pain my specilist did a knee arthoscopy and found alot of damaged cartilage!. It eventually got better!. Then the same thing happened, left knee cap popped out, nothing showed up on scans, constant pain for 2 months, went in athroscopicly - Febuary 2008 - and found alot of damaged cartilage and did a 'Lateral Release' - to stop the knee cap popping out!. Since the last operation, my knee is still as sore as before, and i cant straighten or bend it much!. Does anyone know any other resons why im in constant pain 24/7!? Diseases!? Growing pains!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You may have something called Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome (PFPS)!.!.!? What causes it is the patella rubbing the femur and it basically wears away the cartilage inside the knee!. It results from overuse of the knee and is primarily marked by anterior knee pain (bottom of knee cap)!. It is more common in females because our wider hips cause the muscles to connect to our knees at more of an angle, causing a kind of lateral strain on our knee caps!.!.pulling it out laterally!.

Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
