Insomnia/lethargic?!


Question: Insomnia/lethargic!?
a few weeks ago i was a complete self destruct mode!. for some reason i was fed up with not being able to get to sleep till like say 2am so i thought right i just wont bother sleeping at all!. so some nights i got say 4 hours sleep, others none!. now i want to try sleep again and get myself sorted but evrythings so messed up!. ive got 75 paracetamol!. i havent took them!. i feel ill and tired all this time and no matter what i do i just cant sleep!. i feel like im dead!. i dont know where i fit in with anything anymore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First: Throw the paracetamol in the bin!.

Second: Get all your feelings off your chest - I know everyone says this, but I've been through similar feelings and when you talk to someone about it it's a real weight off your shoulders!. You need to find somebody who will let you talk all day if needs be!. What I also did is keep a diary as this helps you organise your thoughts and then helps you make more logical decisions and perspectives on things!. If you want you can call a charity, such as Samaritans - you can talk to them in confidence for as long as you like, that's what they're there for and lets face it, it's highly unlikely you will ever meet whoever you talk to so there should be no embarrassment!.
With regards to your sleep problems - it's likely you're having problems getting to sleep because (whether you know it or not) your mind is whizzing over all your worries and stresses of the day!. Book an appointment to see your doctor and in the meantime try some of these:
You need wind down time for an hour or two before you go to bed - this means no caffeine, cigarettes or alcohol for at least 2-3 hours before bed!. A nice relaxing bath with sleep-related oils and scents such as lavender may help you relax!.
Also your bed is for sleeping in so avoid doing other things like watching tv, eating, talking on the phone when you're in bed!. These activites should be done outside the bedroom!. If you can't sleep after an hour, leave your bedroom and read a little and then try again!.
This is an obvious one: if you stay in bed until 2 in the afternoon then you will have trouble getting to sleep that night!. Try to keep within one hour of your normal waking time, even at weekends to keep your body clock on track!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, You are feeling lethargic because you arent sleeping!.Try having a good hot bubble bath with relaxing salts in it,take a hot drink to bed with you and read a really good book!.Works for me everytime!!!But if you are talking about taking 75 paracetamol then maybe it is medical help you need and not advise about not sleeping because trust me if you take 75 paracetamol tablets then that will be one hell of a long sleep as in you wont ever wake up!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hang on in there!. I have suffered this problem and I know it feeds on the despair it creates!. It can relate to your lifestyle not being what you really want, even if you won't consciously admit it!.!. Doing things which give satisfaction help!. Avoid exciting TV especially in the evenings or anything else stimulating!. Use only decaf coffee and tea!. Try to take pleasure in simple, harmless things like the beauty of nature etc!. This is calming!. You are suffering from a disease of our shallow hyped up silly modern world!. Excess paracetamol can kill owing to liver failure!. Lesser doses cause liver damage!. You have more problems then not sleep!.!.!. i think that is the least of ur problems!.!.!. its probably all the otehr thingsin ur life effect u to much and ur stressing so much u cant sleep!. have some warm milk and take a hot bath and stop stressing!.!.!. ur most likely young and just had something that seems likeits impossible to get over happen to u!. but u will!.!. s go dream about it instead of stressing all nightWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hey Nart!. Try going for a good long walk or jog!. Plenty of exercises and or a lot of physical training!. And try setting your alarm clock very early in the morning to get up early and you should want to sleep earlyer too!. Plenty of fresh air is always good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont take the paracetamol!. you'll just puke them up and feel far more crap than you do now, after you turn yellow, get taken to hospital, then taken to the loony bin!.
