it depends when you cut the knee!. if it was today, then it cant be infected yet (not that i know of) the swelling is probably just skin trauma, like a bruise but not exactly, so i'd put a cold cloth on it, and keep it clean and dryWww@Answer-Health@Com
If you don't go to the hospital in about 1 hr its going to get into your blood stream!. First you begin to feel a little sick!.(Well you must be sick already for cutting your knee open with scissors!.) Then you'll start to feel cramps in your muscles and joints around your body!. You need to clean out the cut if it is still open!. It is probably irritated and infected!. You need a tetanus shot- if you haven't had one already- because the scissors could've had harmful bacteria on them!. In the future- please don't do this!. As for right now, keep it clean, put some band aids and neosporian on it, and if it gets worse go to the doctors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
