What should you do if you can't fall asleep?!


Question: What should you do if you can't fall asleep!?

PAR-TAY!!!!! Or, I sometimes go out on the couch, turn the TV on and bam! I'm asleep in no time!. (Says alot for TV programming, huh!.!.!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Turn off the TV and the Computer, make your room as quiet and peaceful as you can!. If you have anything with lavendar essential oil, that is a very relaxing scent that is said to help induce sleep!. Do some gentle stretching exersizes, take a hot bath, sip a cup of uncaffinated tea (don't drink more than one cup of coffee or cola/caffinated beverages during the day)!. Find a good book and curl up in bed, read for 20 - 30 minutes, then turn off your lights, close your draperies, block anything in your room with lights so the room is as dark as possible!. Close your eyes, stretch, begin relaxing one part of your body at a time, start with your feet - tense them up first and the relax them, then your ankles, point your toes, flex your feet, do a few ankle circles, then relax your ankles!.!.!.move up to your calfs, knees, thighs!.!.!. by the time you get to the top of your head, you should be asleep!.

If you are spiritual, say your bedtime prayers before beginning the relaxation meditation!. Be grateful for all you have and all you are and ask for blessing for all your loved ones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If i cant fall asleep i always pull out a book/magazine or turn on the tv for a few min!. Dont turn on a movie or anything long bc then youll just get interested and not want to go to bed!. But ive found that if i do something then i get tired and want to go to bed a lot faster than i do if i just lay there!. Especially if theres something on your mind bc then ull just be left to thoughts and not get tired!. Try an infomercial or something boring!.!.!. itll put u to sleepWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think a quiet bedtime routine works best, do the same thing every night!. Darker lighting for the hour before bed helps also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try going for a walk, reading a book, watching some tv, or u can eat walnuts or warm milk or put them in a blender & to blend themWww@Answer-Health@Com

I usually watch a movie and I'll fall asleep to that!Www@Answer-Health@Com
