Answers:
Since you are describing pain below the kneecap there are at least two possibilities!. The simpler one is patellar tendinitis!. This is where the tendon becomes irritated and will create pain with the onset of movement!. As the area becomes warmed the pain may lessen!. It will significantly increase after the activity is over!. The second possibility is Osgood-Schlatter's disease!. This is easily taken care of by doing resistance exercises for the knee!. Start with isometrics!. This is done by placing a rolled up towel under the knee and having the muscles of the knee push down on the towel!. You can do this as many times a day as you wish!. The next is straight leg raising!. Start the same way as the isometric in a long sitting position!. Lift the leg from the hip while keeping the knee stiff!. As this gets easier add and ankle weight to it!. The pain will diminish as the knee becomes stronger!. Going to a gym and having someone qualified teach you how to lift would also help!. Remember to keep the weight light and do the movements very slowly!. Both conditions will respond to this!. There is one other thing that could be causing this pain!. You state just below my kneecap!. Do you mean under the kneecap!? If this is the case then another possibility is that there is a tracking dysfunction of the kneecap!. For this you need to see and orthopedist or a physical therapist if your state has direct referral!. This is also remedied by exercise!. The treatment here is more specific and has to be designed by a specialist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be a calcium deficiency so maybe you should take a regular vitamin or supplement if your not getting enough in your diet!. that or the area could be getting inflamed from the pressure put on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may just be swelled or you may have fluid in your leg which is causing the pain, if it gets worse refer to the hospital for a second look!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
