People at twenty-four do get back pain!. I wish that you had put more information down that might have helped such as height and weight!. Since you sit most of the day what more than likely is happening is deconditioning!. The muscles must get a certain amount of work each day or they start to get weak!. Sitting for long periods of time allows the muscles to get weak and then they are not capable of doing their job as efficiently as they were designed to do!. I would recommend that you start on a light exercise program!. This would begin with walking for about twenty minutes straight each day for five or six days out of each week!. Go to a gym if possible and meet with a qualified trainer and have them set up a program for you!. If this is not possible then start to do some exercises at home!. This would include stretching movements that include lying on the floor and having both legs out straight!. Slowly bring one knee into the chest and bear hug it for about ten seconds repeat this four more times!. Return the leg to the starting position and repeat with the other leg!. When finishing with the last movement keep the knee up and slowly bring the opposite leg up to meet it!. Now bear hug both legs into the chest and hold for ten seconds!. Never hold your breath with doing any movement!. Repeat the bear hug four more times and then bring one leg back to the floor!. Once the other leg is on the floor bring the opposite one down!. Lying on the floor with the knees and hips bent and the feet on the floor place your hands on the back of the head and slowly raise the upper body up until only the bottom tip of the wing bone is touching the floor!. This is a crunch!. Do these as many times as you can as long as you can maintain the movement smoothly!. Lie on your stomach and slowly lift one leg up from the hip and then return it!. Lift the opposite leg up in a swimming pattern!. Do this ten times!. Lastly try this one!. Get on your hands and knees!. Lift the left arm and right leg out straight for a second and then change to the right arm and left leg!. Do the rotation five times!. That will help to strengthen your lower back!. Lastly stand against a wall and slowly slide down the wall until your thighs are at 90 degrees or parallel to the floor!. Stay there as long as you can trying to work up to three minutes!. This will strengthen your hips and thighs!. This is just a few things that you can do for yourself but get involved in a program like yoga or Pilate's!. This will do wonders for strengthening the entire body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have three things to say:

1!.I'm 13 and I have a chronic back problem so you're not that young for such an issue!.

2!. You really should see a doctor becuase if you dont help to aid the pain it may become chronic and youll have it for the rest of your life or the pain may be indicating something bad!.

3!. Try exercising!.!.!.more exercising can help but no running or anything like that!.!.!.try swimming and stretches in the pool, I havent tried aqua aerobics before but in the water there wont be any pressure on your joints and therefor your back!.

Good luck, do something now before your back turns bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't use heat!. Use a cold pack 20 mins on, 40 mins off!. Repeat as necessary for pain control!. If you can't tell if it's a pulled muscle or herniated disc, stick with cold packs!. If it's a herniated disc, and you use heat, you'll make it much worse!.

If things don't improve by tomorrow, go see a doctor to rule out a herniated disc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

IM NOT A DOCTOR! haha
I would agree that it could be the way you slept!. How long have you had this!? If its been persistent I would go to a doctor!. It could be muscle or nerve problems!. I would also keep in mind that anything back related should be carefully evaluated since most back problems if left untreated can become chronic and debilitating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,
It could be muscle strain!. Did you try to stretch it out!? OR is it hurting you more!?

When did you take the Ibuprofen!? For me, it takes 2 Ibuprofen tablets & a night sleep to relieve the pain!.

Try to sit straight in the chair!. It's a natural tendency to bend down while we sit!.

Rub some Bengay / Icy Hotpatch and massage!. And lay down for sometime (if possible)!.

If these tips doesn't make you feel better, you have to see the doctor!.

All the Best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
