Answers:
You should go to the store and buy Neosporin to put in the cut and cover lightly with gauze!. Your best bet is to give your son Childrens Motrin, which is Ibuprofen!. It is better because Ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory and it will keep the wound from swelling, and it helps with the pain!. Tylenol only works for the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,

Wash the wound with cold water and rub some Neosporin gently!. If he is having severe pain and crying, then give him 1 tea spoon of Motrin OR Tylenol!. (Doctors preferences)!.

Let me ask you somethings::
**Is it still bleeding!? Did you apply ice cubes / cold water!?

**The drawer he fell on, is it iron or wood!? If it is Iron one, it is preferred to give him the Tetanus shot so that it will not get infected!.

**You said deep enough to bleed!! Is it like a paper cut, OR is it too deep!?

If the wound is not deep, still it is safe side to take your son to the doctor!.

All the Best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like he needs an over-the-counter antibiotic ointment like Neosporin or bacitracin!. Also, he may benefit from a little "butterfly" bandage to help keep the cut closed!.

Based on his symptoms I would recommend ibuprofen over Tylenol because ibuprofen has some anti-inflammatory action and Tylenol does not!. Also, for pain from injury, ibuprofen is usually seen as the stronger pain reliever!.

I hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tylonol is simply just a pure pain reliever!. Theres really no other qualities to it!. Ibruprophin is a more pain reliever fever reducer swelling reducer!. He's 5 years old, so i wouldn't suggest any OTC medications without consulting your doctor first!. Give him a call, u don't have to visit him!. Unless he's bleeding or he starts getting a fever (Sign of infection)Www@Answer-Health@Com

wash it with soap and water and rub neosporin on it!. Tylenol and Ibuprofen are both good but give him some animal cookies or something like that with the Ibuprofen!. It can mess with little tummies!. I know because my 6 year old daughter has been on Ibuprofen for 2 days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everything about answering you is wrong but I will for the kids sake!. Neosporin to fight infection, Childrens Tylenol for pain!. You should really the kid to Urgent Care or the hospital!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would bring him to the emergency room!.
Tylenol is not an antibiotic,it is a pain reliever!.

If you thought otherwise you REALLY need to bring him to a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
