Last time I went to the hospital for my back, they took an xray and didn't see what they needed!.
They told me CAT scan would be better than an xray for my issue, but they refused to give me a CAT scan and said it's too much radiation for me
So!.!.!.!. how much exposure is too much!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
1st of all MRI uses no radiation so don't worry about that!.
2nd of all, the doctor and radiographer must ensure that the benefits of getting x-rayed outweighs the risks from radiation, you're obviously in need of the x-rays although 200 seems pretty excessive!.
the dose from plain x-ray is far less than CT scans but if you really really needed a CT then they would give you one!.
living in Aberdeen everyone gets the same dose as a chest x-ray every 3days from the granite and radiation in the atmosphere and flying gives you a whack of radiation too!. So I would trust the doctors, they obviously don't think a CT will aid you significantly more than plain x-rayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Exposure is measured in rads and there is a scale, with many variables, which limits the amount of exposure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
