Question: I have a habit of slouching, and when i make myself stand up straight instead, my back hurts!?
around the small of my back!. is this just because i have the habit of slouching, or something else!? i don't think its scoliosis because when to my annual doctor check up they test for scoliosis, and im sure they would have said something if they had suspected it lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

slouching can affect upper and lower back!.!.!.I had the problem and I decided to strengthen the muscles in upper and lower back--I looked them up online!.!.!.my slouching improved because the muscles are stronger and able to better support the neck and shoulder!. Strengthening the back shoulder arm muscles will cause your neck to be less fatigued thus you wont slouch!.!.!.It beomes easier to sit up straight and actually hurts when you slouchWww@Answer-Health@Com

i think you just gotta break the habit!. there was a study that slouching isnt really bad for your health but you look so much better when you do stand up straight!. just try to sit and stand correctly 50% of the day!. the pain will stop its really nothing!. it happens to even those with good postureWww@Answer-Health@Com

your core muscles are weak (abs and back)!. yoga and/or pilates would help, not slouching would be a work out too!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
