I have the same problem!. My Dr!. recomended a few solutions!.

1) If you are a smoker!.!. Do not smoke a least one hour before bed!.
2) Do not drink or eat anything before bed!.
3) Try to cut out TV before bed and do a little light reading!.
4) Try a warm QUIET bath to relax yourself!.
5) Keep your room quiet and dark!. A little noise in the form of a fan is okay, it can actually help you sleep by giving you a low constant focal point instead of having your mind wondering!.

Cut down on your caffeine consumption, especially during the afternoon or evening!. This includes tea, coffee and soft drinks like coke!.

Give up smoking, or don't smoke within a few hours of going to bed!.

Keep a pen and some paper next to your bed - if you lie in bed worrying, write everything down and tell yourself you'll deal with it in the morning!.

Get plenty of exercise - this works by making you physically worn out!. Avoid exercising though within 2 hours of going to bed, because you'll be hyped up!.

Make sure your bedroom is dark and quiet!.

Do restful things right before bed!.

i try to relax before going to bed and avoid any citrus or caffenine drinks about three hrs before hand!. i also try to maybe read but it doesnt happen often!. i do lay there and relax and drink tea, hot or cold, but its called sleepy time its soo good and it helps me all the time!. also, chamomille tea is pretty good to help you sleep!. good luck and i hope it helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know it's an old wives tale but works for my husband a cup of warm milk!. I sometimes use lavender spray on my pillow and if i really can'r sleep like now I get on line till I get tired, Good luck it's no fun to be sleepless!Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont go to bed until you are tired and get up the same time every morning (which means dont sleep in!)

also dont take naps during the day!. Thats the best advice i can give you!. Anything else wont work in the long runWww@Answer-Health@Com
